Taylor C. Mahtook is a board-certified Physician Assistant dedicated to comprehensive women’s primary care. She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Louisiana State University in 2014 and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport in 2016.
Taylor began her career in emergency medicine and urgent care, where she developed a strong clinical foundation in acute and preventive care. She joined Lourdes Physician Group in October 2020, where she helped establish Lourdes’ first women’s primary care clinic focused on delivering personalized, longitudinal care.
Her clinical interests include preventative care, chronic disease management, women’s health across the lifespan, with a particular focus on perimenopause and menopause management. In October 2025, Taylor became a Menopause Society Certified Provider, further enhancing her ability to guide patients through hormonal transitions with evidence-based, individualized treatment plans. Taylor is a member of The Menopause Society and Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants.
Taylor values building meaningful relationships with her patients. She prioritizes understanding each individual’s goals and works collaboratively to support long-term wellness and quality of life.
Outside of medicine, Taylor is an active parishioner at St. Mary Mother of the Church. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking—especially getting together with the ladies in her family to make grape leaves and kibbies for family gatherings—reading, playing mahjong and attending early morning classes at Red Lerille’s Health & Racquet Club during the week.
Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of clinical experience, with a foundation in women’s health, endocrinology, and breast oncology that has guided and defined her current approach to patient care.
Tori began her career as a Registered Nurse in women’s health and went on to teach maternity clinicals to BSN students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette while earning her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner
She started her Nurse Practitioner career in endocrinology, where she developed extensive expertise in managing complex hormonal and metabolic conditions.
Her clinical experience expanded to include the care of post-surgical breast cancer patients, management of individuals at elevated risk for breast cancer, and evaluation of genetic testing.
In 2022, she shifted her practice into functional medicine, emphasizing root-cause analysis and bioidentical hormone therapies. She blended conventional and functional medicine to deliver comprehensive hormone care, with expertise spanning hormonal disorders, metabolic disease, and integrative cancer support.
Tori places strong emphasis on listening and validating patient symptoms and experiences, using these insights as a foundation to develop individualized, thoughtful care plans.
Tori practices with an evolving, evidence-informed approach, centered on understanding each patient’s ‘why’ to develop effective, individualized care with long-term positive outcomes.
